There are several different membership options:
Architect, Associate, or International Associate Member
Eligibility: Individuals who hold a degree in architecture, are working towards licensure, or who already hold a license to practice architecture can join the AIA, with the member type determined by the individual’s particular work and/or educational experiences. New graduates are entitled to special benefits, including free membership for up to 18 months following graduation and complimentary registration to attend the AIA National Convention. For details, go to: http://www.aia.org/join/assoc-newgrad/.
Allied Member
Eligibility: Individuals, firms, or institutional partners who do not hold a degree in architecture, but share an interest in the built environment.
